Whether it’s a need for portfolio or fund valuations, risk monitoring or regulatory requirements - financial market players increasingly have to base their analyses on key figures that are consistent and transparent. SIX Telekurs' Fair Value Pricing Service offers the calculation of bond fair value prices.
If no quoted, exchangeable price is available on an active market, the fair value can be used to settle a debt or for exchanging an asset between professional, independent, contract seeking business partners.
The fair value price is a valuation price calculated on the basis of a theoretical price model, taking due account of the various factors that have a bearing on prices.
Timing of data calculation, availability
Several times per day, SIX Telekurs' Fair Value Pricing Service supplies consistent fair value prices over the entire validity period of some 55,000 bonds denominated in various currencies and calculated according to a transparent method.
Prices are shown for all straight bonds and zero bonds featured in the SIX Telekurs database and denominated in EUR, CHF, DKK, GBP, NOK, JPY, AUD, NZD, USD, CAD and ZAR. For the calculation, only instruments with ‘investment grade’ are used.
Fair value prices are calculated four times a day on the basis of updated yield curves (times given are CET):
