EU Interest Taxation

The EU Directive on the taxation of savings income (2003/48/EU) came into force on 1 July 2005. It regulates the taxation of interest payments made across borders to EU residents.

Since end of November 2004, the Valordata Feed (VDF) from SIX Telekurs has been supplying an expanded range of data for the taxation of savings income according to the EU Directive issued in June 2003. SIX Telekurs provides the data needed by the banks to implement the new tax regulations.
