TBII - The Corporate Actions Service
Titelbulletin II (TBII) is a comprehensive tracking service for corporate actions and changes affecting securities around the world. TBII provides daily master data and corporate actions data for more than 1,000,000 instruments.

TBII can be subdivided into three types of information:

  • Basic Data
Comprehensive fundamental data regarding new issues and changes to existing securities, including rates, offering and special interest conditions, conversions and repayment terms.
  • Distributions
Cash and non-cash distributions to equity security holders, including cash and stock dividends, splits, spin-offs, distributions in kind, liquidation proceeds and capital distributions.
  • Reorganisations
All other capital changes that are not new issues or dividend type distributions, including mergers, divestitures, tender and repurchase offers, shares outstanding, bankruptcies, class-action suites, changes in exercise or conversion terms, name and domicile changes, and par-value changes.

Of these three information sets Distribution and Reorganisation data are jointly referred to as corporate action messages.

Each of the three categories can be subdivided further into message types or content codes which relate to specific messages. For example, content code 230 = Cash Dividend.

Information tailored to meet the needs of your organisation

TBII information can be delivered by:

  • TBII Bulk File
The TBII bulk file contains all basic data and corporate action messages issued or updated on the current business day for all instruments maintained by SIX Telekurs.
There is no selection file for this service.
  • TBII Portfolio File
The TBII portfolio file contains the basic data and corporate action messages issued or updated on the current business day for the instruments held within the client's portfolio.
A TBII selection file is submitted which must contain the specific instruments for which the client wishes to receive TBII data.
  • TBII Master File
The TBII Master File forms the initial load or supply file required to initialise the client's database. It contains the latest announcements on Basic Data messages and any pending or even historical corporate action messages based on the requested portfolio of instruments. Once this file has been processed, the client's database is updated by either the daily TBII Bulk or portfolio file.
A TBII selection file representing the client’s portfolio of instruments is required. A date range must also be specified which will restrict the file to only those corporate action messages which expire within this period.
  • TBII MiniMaster File
The TBII MiniMaster file is a mix of daily and master file services, providing master data as new instruments are added to the portfolio.

Specific content codes can be chosen within the TBII selection files, to ensure the file is restricted to only include messages with the specified content code.

Delivery Format

The information is delivered via the FinSource platform in either a coded fixed format (English language) machine readable file or a readable text format. Files are delivered electronically every business day. The completed files are then collected by the client using FTP.
